Well, your McDonalds Tigers had a pretty good
week last week. They started off Wednesday night
at home vs Woodstock. It was a pretty tame 1st
period with the lone goal going to the Tigers
captain Mike Floyd with the help of Isaac &
Ennis. There was a lot more action in the 2nd
as the tigers scored 4 and Woodstock added 2 to
make the score 5-2 tigers after 40 minutes. Tigers
scorers were Jeff MacGregor, Joey Pell, Chris
Ennis and Wendell Watson. The 2nd period also
featured a fight between St Arthur's Rene Savoie
vs Paul Anderson, an easy win for Savoie. The
tigers added 2 goals in the 3rd (Wendell Watson
& Adam McIllraith) as Woodstock netted 1 to
bring the final score 7-3 McDonald's Jr A Tigers.
Big Mac! Big Mac! Big Mac!!!! Yep, Big Macs for
everyone again. The Tigers outshot the slammers
43-29 and goaltender Anthony Cormier gets the
win. Tiger Rene Savoie also had his second fight
of the night in the 3rd period as he easily took
care of Woodstock enforcer Lane Paul.
On Friday it was the long awaited Division Finals
of last year as Bill Riley and his Miramichi Timberwolves
rolled into town for a classic Friday night tilt
against your McDonald's Jr A Tigers. The Timberwolves
were back to their old tricks as they tried to
intimidate the tigers but to no avail Your Mcdonald's
Jr A Tigers were unimpressed by Miramichi as they
outworked and finally outscored the Timberwolves
9-5 in front of 1200 fans at the Memorial Civic
Center. Wendell Watson scored a hat trick to led
the tigers to victory. Other scorers were Mike
Floyd 1g-2a, Chris Ennis 2a, Alex soucy 1a, Phil
Nazair 1g, Matt Simonson 1a, Denzel Isaac 1g,
1a, Jeff Macgregor 1g-1a, Rene SAvoie 1a, Colby
Nichol 1g- 1a,Jonathatn Fecteau 2a, and newcomer
George Trudel scored his first as a tiger. The
Tigers outshot the Timberwolves 44-41 in this
hard hitting and often dirty game.
Finally, your McDonald's Jr A Tigers were on the
road Sunday as they travelled to Moncton to tangle
with the Beavers. The Tigers outshot the Beavers
48-39 but still managed to lose 6-4. Captain Mike
Floyd led the Tigers with 2 goals with Matt Simonsson
& Jonathan Fecteau adding singles. The Tigers
were shorthanded on defense as Daniel Carter &
Francis Comeau are nursing injuries, however they
should be back in the lineup Friday October 29,
as the Tigers host the Amherst Ramblers at 8 pm
at the Civic Center.
Don't
miss it, who knows, you might go home with a free
Big Mac!!!!

Well folks, it was Big Mac time again at the civic
center this past weekend as your McDonald Jr A
Tigers beat the Halifax Wolverines 6-5. The tigers
came out strong in the 1st and led 3-0 with goals
by Listiguj native Denzel Isaac, Colby Nichol
and Jonathan Fecteau. In the 2nd both team traded
goals as David Shkreli scored his first as a tiger.
Halifax came back early in the 3rd as they scored
3 goals in 4 minutes to tie the game up at 4 a
piece. The Tigers took the lead once again 2 minutes
later. With a little less 5 minutes to go captain
Mike Floyd put the tigers ahead for good as Tigers
held on for a 6-5 win. So for the 2nd time the
Mcdonald's Jr A Tigers sent everyone home with
a fre Big Mac compliments of McDonald's new owner
and team sponsor Dave Murray. McDonald's unsung
hero of the game was Adam Bradley. Final shots
were 38-29 in favor of your Tigers in an exciting
game that featured a great fight between Tigers
Chris Ennis and Halifax enforcer Ben Pasha.
On Sunday the Tigers left town at 7am to travel
to PEI for a 2pm game vs Summerside. Tigers took
an early 2-0 lead with goals by Adam McIllwraith
and captain Mike Floyd. In the 2nd period Phil
Nazair scored and the Capitals added 3 to tie
the game at 3-3 after 2 periods. The 3rd period
was all tigers as they scored 4 goals(Adam Bradley(2),
Chris Ennis & Phil Nazair) to make it 7-5
Tigers. Mcdonald's Tigers outshot Summerside 31-29
and came back with a win that made the bus trip
home a lot better.
After a slow start the Tigers have now won 3 in
a row and are starting to move up in the Meek
Division standings. Next home game will be this
friday October 15 as the tigers entertain the
Truro Bearcats at the Civic Center at 8 pm.
Don't miss it, who knows, you might go home with

The Campbellton McDonald's Jr A Tigers finally
broke through the gates on friday night with a
crashing 8-2 victory over the Charlottetown Abbies.
Earlier in the week the Tigers lost to Woodstock
5-2 at the civic center. Tigers scorers were captain
Mike Floyd and blueliner Joey Pell. Getting back
to fridays game, the tigers started strong and
never looked back outshooting the Abbies 26-6
but Abbies goaltender Todd Gregory stood strong
giving up only 1 goal. Both teams were tied at
1 each after the first period. In the second period
the tigers scored 6 and the Abbies notched 1 late
goal tho bring the score 7-2 after 2. Chris Ennis
scored his 3rd goal of the game in the final period
and when all was said and done referee in chief
Yvan Arseneau had given out 134 minutes in penalties
as the game got a little chippy. Tiger goal scorers

Mr Dave Murray, McDonald's new owner, has said
that he will keep this promotion going so make
sure that you are at the next game and if we win

a free Big Mac. Mr. Murray also said that fans
have 6 days after the win to turn game tickets
in for their free sandwich. The McDonalds Jr A
Tigers will host the Moncton Beavers on Wed Oct

The Campbellton Mcdonald Tigers held their home
opener last Friday night at the Memorial Civic
Center. 1381 fans were on hand to see the 2003-04
MJAHL Championship banner rise to the roof of
the civic center. At the end of the 1st, both
teams were tied at 1 each. Chris Ennis had scored
the tigers first home goal with a wrist shot from
the high slot. Mike Floyd and Wendell Watson got
the helpers. The 2nd period was too much for the
Tigers as Pictou County scored twice on Ryan Mensing
who uncharacteristicly gave two weak goals. Backup
goalie Anthony Cormier relieved Mensing and Tigers
traded goals in the 3rd with a a goal by 6'4"
blueliner Joey Pell (Daniel Carter, Mike Floyd).
Although the Tigers outshot Pictou 16-6 in the
3rd, it was too little too late. Final score was
4-2 Pictou which wasn't really reflective of the
game. The Tigers did cycle well and controlled
most of the play but didn't generate much scoring
chances. McDonald's unsung hero of the game was
Matt Simonson who played 30+ minutes and also
an honorable mention to St Arthur Rene Savoie
who offered to dance several times but couldn't
find a partner. Saturday night your McDonald Jr
A Tigers traveled to Amherst for a 7 pm game.
The Tigers did come back with 1 point in a 4-3
overtime loss. Tigers goal scorers were Wendell
Watson (Chris Ennis), Phil Nazair (Denzel Isaac,
Dan Carter) and with his 1st goal as a Tiger Colby
Nichol (Phil Nazair, Denzel Isaac). Anthony Cormier
made 32 saves and may be back between the pipes
for Wednesday's Sept 29 home game vs Woodstock
Subway Slammers. Game time is set for 7:30 pm
and McDonald's will be giving out a free Big Mac
to every fan whenever the Tigers win and score
more than 5 goals. Also the Charlottetown Abbies
will be in town on Friday Oct 1st, game time is
set for 8 pm. See you there!!!

Hang
on, get ready because here we go! The new MJAHL
season is started andthe McDonald's Tigers are
expecting to repeat last yearsachievements. The
team still needs a couple of adjustment, but who
doesn't at this time of year. 10 players are back
from last year including our new captain Mike
Floyd & assistants Denzel Isaac(Listujug)
and Jonathan Fecteau. Goaltenders Anthony Cormier
and last year playoff MVP Ryan Mensing will share
duties between the pipes. It will be Mensing's
last year because he has accepted a full scholarship
to Western Michigan University for the 05-06 season.
Other returnies are Phil Nazair (Atholville),
Matt Simonson (Eel River Bar), Chris Ennis,Wendell
Watson, & Adam Bradley. Your McDonald's Tigers
have added Colby Nichol(fwd), & Daniel Carter
(Def) via trades during summer. New faces this
year includes forwards Rene Savoie (St Arthur),
Eric Fallu (Atholville), Jeff McGregor , Adam
McIllwaith,
Ryan Penney, Simon LeBlanc & David Shkreli,
on defense, Joey Pell, Denis Gauthier, Francis

to announce that McDonald's and it's new owners
Dave & Cheryl Murray have joined forces with
the Tigers and have become the Campbellton McDonald's

cooperation of the Cambpellton Civic Center and
its manager Gilles Corriveau , you will be able
to redeem those tickets at the canteen for a small
fry, hot dog and pop for only $2.50 (tax inlcuded).
The McDonald's Tigers started their season with
a rematch of last year's final as they went to
Yarmouth for 2 weekend games and returned home
with a 3-3 tie and a 7-2 loss. Injuries and suspensions
played a big role in the 2nd game because the
Mcdonald's Tigers played without top defenseman
Jonathan Fecteau & Matt Simonsson. The Mcdonald's
Tigers will open their season this Friday September
24 at the Campbellton Civic Center vs the new
Picto County Weeks Crushers. Game time is set
